Jonathan Laurence, associate professor of Political Science at Boston College, researches and writes about European politics, transatlantic relations and Islam in the West. Laurence is the author of The Emancipation of Europe’s Muslims (Princeton University Press 2012) and the co-author of Integrating Islam (Brookings 2006). He is a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution (Washington, DC) and Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations (New York City).

Currently on sabbatical from Boston College, he is a guest researcher of the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin. He was the Daimler Fellow at the American Academy in Berlin in Fall 2012.
